We'll be taking nominations for the Molesey WI Charity of the Year.

As per the national WI's regulations, we must select a local cause. For the past two years this has made our campaigning and involvement all the more pertinent.

The support we've given to the Shooting Star Children's Hospice and Born Too Soon has been so appreciated and worthwhile. Together we've raised funds, awareness and lent many a helping hand. We've held the fabulous summer balls, auctions, we've craft dabbled and knitted countless boobs!

We're coinciding this meeting with the 2nd birthday of the book club, celebrating with pizza and chat at Pizza Express Hampton Court at 8pm.  All welcome.  Sally Fish is co-ordinating.

Molesey WI is also part of the Riverdown 85 group - made up of a few other Surrey WIs.  There is a meeting of the group at Hersham Village Hall, Queens Road on 30 March at 7.30pm.

The speaker is Harold Snoad, television producer and director whose credits include Dad's Army, Are you Being Served, Keeping Up Appearances to name a few.  All welcome.
